Project Description

The 4th design review meeting among the client (PEPCO/CPGCL), consultants (a joint venture led by NESPAK) and the contractor (M/s Harbin Electric International Company Limited P.R. China) was held regarding the 747 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant Guddu, project in January 2012 at a local hotel in Lahore. About 1,800 drawings related to thermal, mechanical, water supply, firefighting, electrical, instrumentation & control, switchyard, civil/structures, architecture and chemical systems were discussed and finalised. The construction activities related to civil/structural works have entered into an advanced stage. Gas turbines and generators have been placed on their foundations whereas installation/erection works of HRSGs are in progress. Rana Nasir Ali, VP (PP&Mech.)/Project Manager visited the project site in March 2012 to monitor the progress of construction and installation works.
