Highways & Transportation Engineering Division
Introduction
With the establishment of NESPAK in 1973, the organization commenced its involvement in the 1,220 km Indus Super Highway Project as General Consultants to the Indus Super Highway Board, Ministry of Communications. This landmark assignment laid the foundation for NESPAK's highway engineering capability and led to the establishment of the Highways Division in 1978, which subsequently evolved into the Highways & Transportation Engineering Division (H&TED) in 2001.Today, H&TED is a multidisciplinary project management and engineering group within NESPAK, providing comprehensive consultancy services across the entire lifecycle of highways and transportation infrastructure - from policy advisory, transportation planning and feasibility studies to PC-I preparation, detailed engineering design, independent/third-party design review, traffic modelling, project management, and construction supervision. The Division brings together a highly experienced team of highway, transportation, bridge and traffic engineering professionals, supported by expertise in transport planning, micro- and macro-simulation, geometric and pavement design, highways, motorways, interchanges, bridges and other transportation infrastructure.
