Introduction

Structural Engineering Division (SED) traces its history to the establishment of NESPAK in 1973. Starting with a handful of structural engineers, the Division has grown into one of the largest pools of qualified and highly skilled structural engineers under one roof, with professionals well versed in their respective specialties.

As the backbone of NESPAK, SED provides structural analysis and design, design review, independent peer review, structural assessment, strengthening, rehabilitation, retrofit, conservation, forensic and specialized engineering services. The Division provides value-engineered solutions from conception to completion including design, construction supervision.

SED has successfully undertaken national and international assignments related to buildings, infrastructure, transportation, water resources, industrial facilities, power and energy, heritage assets, and specialized structures. It has a significant contribution to the Building Code of Pakistan 2007 Seismic Provisions and structural engineering services associated with the gigantic reconstruction and rehabilitation program, following the 2005 Kashmir Earthquake.

SED has long-term agreements with UNOPS and UNICEF in the Asia/Pacific region, under which the Division has delivered numerous local and international projects.
