Water & Agriculture Division

Introduction

In this Division, NESPAK provides complete spectrum of consultancy services for projects related to harnessing and use of water for agriculture, people and environment. The services provided for the division cover all aspects from conceiving an idea to completion of a project, including master planning, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, project planning, system rehabilitation, physical and simulation model studies, software development and applications, detailed designs, specifications and tender documents, construction supervision and contract management, preparation of operation & maintenance manuals, as well as performance and benefit monitoring. Institutional reforms in the water division, capacity building and participation of beneficiaries in the development process, as well as environmental management and social development studies, also fall within the purview of NESPAK's wide range of services in this division.

The services for Water Resources Development, Agriculture and Management Division are being provided within Pakistan and abroad by a highly qualified and well-experienced team of more than 133 professionals including civil and agricultural engineers, water resources engineers, irrigation and drainage experts, hydrologists, hydro-geologists, hydraulic engineers, agronomists, agri-economists, micro irrigation design experts, land development experts, soil and water quality scientists, flood management specialists, sociologists and construction supervision specialists, along with 114 para-professionals, non-professionals and other professionals.

NESPAK made its debut in the Water Resources Development and Management Division with the design and construction supervision of the Left Bank Irrigation Tunnel of Tarbela Dam Project in 1973 and since then, it has provided services for over 487 water resources projects within the country and overseas. By virtue of more than 53 years of valuable experience in water resources development and management.
